I’ve started reading The Witcher novels and the first one has intrigued me enough in the first 100 pages that I’m tempted to get the game…

I just don’t know if I can justify or will even have the bandwidth required to patch the game or, if the Enhanced Edition is automatic, get that too. The Witcher 2 was BRUTAL because I did not expect not being able to skip patching and the Enhanced Edition shit and ugh.

Guess I’ll keep trying to play the second game and see if I can ever get past the quest that I keep failing at.

“What worries me about Yahoo! buying Tumblr is how it would choose to incorporate the website into its email and homepage features. No one is going to mind Yahoo! buying the website and gaining a few extra million dollars per year from the minimal advertising; what we will be upset with is if a company like Yahoo! then changes the website to increase casual users and decrease dedicated users. Yahoo! would gain nothing by losing this “cool” group of bloggers in an age group they so desperately want to reach, so they must cater to these individuals by leaving the website exactly as is.” - houseoftombombadil

As much as is does sound like a load of bullshit for someone to buy Tumblr, it’s a possibility. I Personally think it should stay independent and I hope David Karp keeps a hold of it like his own child. Or we make enough noise to where such major changes (if bought) will not happen. I would hate to see Tumblr turned into an advertising dump.

We’re not a ‘hip fad group’ to be marketed to. I hate the fact that’s all we look like to businesses in the end.

That awkward moment when David Karp had to sell Tumblr in order to avoid closing it immediately because the costs were becoming too high to maintain for a group that does not demand fees from us to cover those costs.

I’m well aware this post is from before the deal went through but really, it would pay to do research on both sides of the story. It was either Tumblr closed down immediately OR, if this post is accurate and can magically predict the future, Yahoo closes it down at some point in the future.

Yahoo wasn’t successful with their own social networking service so I think they wanted one that was ready-made and already had millions of users on it that would, in an ideal world, stay.

The more I found out about skooma in Skyrim, the more I wanted to have my character try it. So I found a mod to make it trippy as balls when I found out Skyrim Skooma isn’t the same as the skooma in the other games so yeah, this was a thing. Drained my stamina completely, there was like zero regen for a good few hours and I’m waiting on the withdrawal symptoms tbh, haha.
